OK - so, it's taken me two years but I'm finally posting this wedding.
BUT let's be frank, this wedding will never date! I mean, look at this divine couple! Having known them both for many years independently, it was an enormous honour to be asked to capture their "official union" and the merging of two special families into one.
It seems appropriate to let our beautiful bride, Hollie have the last word:
'Family isn't always blood, it's defined by commitment and by love.'
We deliberated about what our perfect wedding would look like since we got engaged 2 years prior, but as a blended family we realised it didn't really matter, so long as our children were by our side.
A simple, intimate and full-of-love ceremony at sunset, followed by dancing the night away at our home with friends and family. All organised in less than 4 weeks!
When looking at vendors we knew some things we had to be flexible on given the time restraints, but one thing we knew, was we wanted Krysta to be our photographer.
There's something about Krysta; she's warm, gentle + relaxed, yet gets the job done, and oh-so beautifully. Being a family friend and previous client of ours, we felt completely comfortable in Krystas effortless attitude to photography and knew her work was magic.
With the weather looking inclement, Krysta kept us reassured that cloudy days are the perfect photoshoot settings, even sending us weather updates on the daily leadup (all whilst on her family holiday up North too).
We thank you Krysta, not only for capturing our special day so beautifully but for freezing for us, welcoming Hollies eager texts for 'teaser' photos almost 5 minutes after the ceremony and for being just so down to earth and lovely.
It was perfectly us, and our family is now beautifully blended together.
We wouldn't change a thing.
