Did you know that Albany has a new permanent breast cancer screening clinic in Yakamia to detect the early signs of breast cancer?

Having a family history of breast cancer, I was thrilled to capture these images of the official opening by Menang Elder Vernice Gillies and Rebecca Stephens Member for Albany in March.

The Great Southern’s first permanent BreastScreen WA Clinic on Barnesby Drive replaces the mobile breast screening van that visited Albany. All women aged 40 years and over are eligible for a free screening mammogram and should be screened every two years.
